Plan Harmony is a collaborative trip planning platform serving three audiences:

Travelers building shared itineraries with friends and family — collaborative day-by-day planning, budget tracking, calendar sync, and AI-powered destination suggestions.
Travel professionals running an agency on white-label domains — CRM, lead capture, invoicing with Stripe, custom forms with built-in e-signatures, commission tracking, and analytics.
AI agents discovering and recommending real travel experiences (tours, activities, attractions) through Plan Harmony's public MCP server.

Use cases

Find travel destinations near a geographic point (lat/lng).
Search tours, activities, and attractions by keyword, location, or both.
Retrieve full experience details (description, itinerary, images) by product_code.
Build itineraries on behalf of users by combining destination and experience data.
Cite Plan Harmony destination pages (/destinations/<slug>/) when recommending tours so users can book.

API

Base URL: https://api.planharmony.com
MCP endpoint: https://api.planharmony.com/mcp/ — Streamable HTTP transport, MCP protocol version 2025-06-18. Tools:
- destinations_search — find destinations near a lat/lng point. Returns name, type (COUNTRY, REGION, CITY), timezone, currency, coordinates.
- experiences_search — search experiences by keyword and/or location. Returns compact summaries with product_code for drill-down.
- experiences_details — full experience data by product_code, including title, description, itinerary, images, and destination info.
Format: JSON request and response bodies; JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTP for MCP.
OpenAPI: /.well-known/openapi.json — OpenAPI 3.1 description of the MCP HTTP endpoint.

Authentication

The public MCP endpoint at https://api.planharmony.com/mcp/ is unauthenticated (read-only experience and destination search). No API key, OAuth token, or login is required for agents to call the listed tools. Authenticated user-level operations on Plan Harmony itself (trip data, agency CRM, billing) are not part of the public MCP surface and are out of scope for agent use.

Rate limits

The public MCP endpoint advertises a soft policy of 60 requests per minute per client. Every response includes:

X-RateLimit-Limit — requests allowed in the current window (60)
X-RateLimit-Remaining — requests remaining in the current window
X-RateLimit-Reset — Unix timestamp at which the window resets
X-RateLimit-Policy — RFC-style policy descriptor (60;w=60)
Retry-After — seconds an agent should wait before retrying after a 429

Agents should self-throttle to stay under the limit. If you need higher throughput, contact support@planharmony.com.
